Dr. Lloyd Miller talks in Persian (Farsi) about a few of his interesting experiences in the Middle East. This is a continuation of his 'Persian Music Farsi Interview' on this same site. With native fluency in Farsi and Dari plus ability in other languages of the area, Dr. Miller was able to be a full participant with local the populace wherever he traveled during 7 years of music research beginning with a Fulbright Scholarship. A more detailed narrative of his experiences is found in his book 'Sufi Saint & Swinger' posted on the homepage of his website: www.jazzscope.com .

  • Dear friends,

Subtitles would take a very long time to do, maybe weeks. But all the stories with much more colorful details as well as many more unbelievable incidents are in my book 'Sufi, Saint & Swinger' found on the homepage of my jazzscope site. Thanks, Dr. Lloyd Miller

  • His Persian is absolutely spot on! That is easily the best Persian I've ever seen spoken by a non-Iranian. Seriously impressive. And guys, stop referring to it as "Farsi" now - that fad is passing out rapidly and it's finally (and thank God) being referred to as Persian again. It's like if one were to refer to French as "I speak Francais" - you just wouldn't do it.

  • you're absolutely talented. very impressive

  • I don't have the background to this gentleman, but he mely clever, look how he speaks all the different languages of the Middle East.

  • Ostad Kourosh Ali Khan ... you are HILARIOUS!! I almost busted a gut laughing at your stories! Sounds like you had an absolutely brilliant time in Iran.

    We Love You!

  • any chance for subtitles?

  • lol.....Kurosh Jan...Fair play to you! That was an interesting story! May you live long! We love you!
