This is a LONG one.. Here we are with our CNC molded shapes transforming them into sand molds then pouring aluminum into them. These will be the side-cover art on the Red Baron.. - Enjoy!

  • Very Impressive there dude... well done indeed..

  • That is some seriously bad ass casting! Wow!

  • Petrobond is amazing. I use home made green sand and it takes a few attempts normally to get that quality.

  • Hey man, I gotta Hand it to you...... FREAKIN AMAZING!!!!!!!!! Awesome job! let me kno if you ever plan on selling custom castings for the rebel.

    did you weld them on?

  • OCC has a cnc waterjet. This is the old school way of making custom parts. Metal casting has been around since 4000 B.C. ! This takes much more skill and patience because every step of the process has to be right on the money or you don't get good results so it takes some practice and troubleshooting. Doing your homework and being able to "read" your parts pays off in the end... -Hank

  • I've seen on American Chopper and what not that big machines will use water or something to cut these sorts of designs. Is this the old school way?

  • you know, i can tell you from experience, IT SUCKS when you drop the cast mold.

  • awesome job guys!
