Note the frequent use of the term "grown up FRIEND" - that means the boy KNOWS he's not crossing the street with a stranger (or a Michael Jackson). Any comments insinuating the contrary will be removed - y'all really should know better.

  • Man, I wish I had a band to follow me around and pop up whenever I feel like an impromptu musical number.

  • Had the kid's grownup friends talked, I can totally hear Frank Oz as the man who takes him to the park and Richard Hunt as the one who takes him to the zoo. Now what about the woman from the second verse?

  • hopefully if a kid is so young to need an adult to help him cross, he won't be alone on a street.

But, yeah, this song is not necessarily good advice--not in hindsight.

  • Yeah! Doesn't he do Kermit's nephew Robin too?

  • Voice of this kid We will go to the zoo together.

  • LOL ^_^ don't we all.

  • aww. The little boy reminds me of Gobo Fraggle (along with the orange skin and music style.) Jerry Nelson does the best little boy voices!

  • WOW this was my song back in the day!!!!

  • A True classic. Jerry Nelson is so Awesome!

    _Eric ;)

  • You do when you,re a kid.

  • Why do you need to hold hands while you cross?
