Pictures of the old St Marie Airforce Base. The place is even more rundown from when I was last there in 2006. A few housing units have been fixed up but more are just rotting away. A great place for UFO's to land and take a rest, eh. lol 17 miles North of the town of Glasgow, Montana. I'm no history buff so no claim to any knowledge of the place. I was in the Army and just think it's sad to see old bases like this just rot. The place is way up there in the middle of no where and COLD winters and winds that just wont stop...(St Marie is not in the town of Glasgow)

  • We were stationed here in the mid 60's. Loved digging tunnels from house to house in the snow! Anybody every fish at Ft. Peck? Used to see antelope grazing in the back yards. My mom hated it there! Sad to see it in this shape.

  • I like the music - Wish you were here?

  • wow i used to live there in 04 and im thinking of going back...good memories there

  • i lived there from 73 to 82, went back 2002, way sad! had a great time while i'd lived there.

  • I was there bec my nephew died in a car accident. Its creepy how so many people diied in that area, you see lots of crosses!

  • @dodge1616 Not a problem, I have a LOT. lol. Sorry took me a while to post back, but I will send what I have.

  • Nice video. I lived at Glasgow Air Force Base from 1963 through 1968, right over near the main gate. I attended both West Side and North Star Elementary schools (where my mother taught). Part of North Star School is inshambles...mother said that at some point, a bunch of folks were paid to come in and tear it down...they only succeeded in tearing it up. The drive-in was a great place to go as a child! Many memories from there! My email is jonathanhutson_76475@yahoo.com.

  • @Bllackguard666 I grew up at the Glasgow AFB and we left in 1977...we were some of the last people to leave. I'd love to have any photos you have of the base and the housing. I attended North Star Elementary School...I've heard that building is in shambles...I have many memories of this little community. My email address is debdodge1616@aol.com, please contact me if I can get some copies of pictures online that would be so awesome!!!!

  • Takes me back a few years, was a firefighter at the base back then.

  • I was stationed at GAFB 1964-65 in Headquarters, Public Information Office. Boeing owns maintenance facilities/runway and access to those areas is limited. I've been back to base three times. Kinda like visiting a ghost town. Also worked at KLTZ radio downtown Glasgow. I have a video of base and town that I'll send to former GAFB personnel at no cost.
