@WitnessoftheTruth Did you even READ Isa 26:14? In context? It talks of the PEOPLE (i.e. nation) that ruled over Israel. The point of that verse is that NATION has been totally wiped off the earth forever, to be lost even to memory. That verse has NOTHING to do with proving men have no conscious existence after death. Jesus Parable proves exactly the opposite - and he NEVER uses 'imaginary things' in his parables. EVER. My goodness how comfortable you are at twisting scripture

@Roy, Understanding God's Word doesn't come by 'reading' (the action of man )the Bible. Understanding the Bible is a precious GIFT, that must be GIVEN to us as individuals. I Cor 2:11-14 declares only those who were GIVEN the spirit of God have the ability to understand God's Word. The rich man and Lazarus is a PARABLE. A dead person can't literally look into heaven and hold a conversation!! Once a non-elect dies, they are dead forever with NO conscious existance. Isa 26:14, etc
