Great explanation as usual. I was looking for an example where you had a second order derivative and two initial value conditions. As an example, maybe start with an acceleration, and use some initial values to get back to a position function. Do you have any of those? Or are they called something else, and I am looking in the wrong place? Thanks - Cheers!

So what happens if you don't have Y's and X's on both side? Does that mean its not separable? And you cant solve it????

@darkman8803 Not necessarily. Whether or not you can find a general or explicit solution just depends on the equation you've got, which may have x's and y's on only one, or both, sides. Just take the derivative of both sides, and make sure you solve for dy/dx, if you can! :)
