That's not true. It doesn't look like he's taking the cigarette back in this show but he does chain smoke in real life so none of this is an act. He really is a misanthropic smoker and drinker. He's like an Irish Bill Hicks.

The more subtle of you really should be noticing that after he lit his cigarette and took one puff. he never took another it burned down on its own. And in the two hours of the show he regularily "sips" his wine but it's just as full when he finishes. if you watch carefully it only touches his lip. Being a messy cynical drunk that smokes is part of his act. It makes him more interesting to the viewer than a veggan dressed in strange and exotic organic flowers

this is so funny! i started watching it because right now im distracting myself from managing my loans...the questions they ask is very similar to those stupid ones bernard black has to answer so i thought id watch dylan moran. i feel much more happy now :D
