Really beautiful...a true torchbearer of his gharanaa, he again displays his impeccable mastery over the instrument here.

There was no reverb added to the sound. The concert was recorded at an old church in New York and the reverb you hear is the natural sound inside that church.

hi
can someone tell me whether it is nice to use teh reverb in the amp for sitar

The choice of reverb depends on the performing artist. I haven't seen sitar players ask for reverb on their strings for live performances, although they may add it to studio recordings, if the sitar sounds too dry. It's true that too much reverb can jumble up meends.
There was no reverb added to the sitar track of this performance. What you are hearing is a "large hall" sound, because the performance was held at a huge old church.
