Sounds likeyou have never travelled outside of the USA, it's not the only country in the world (believe it or not)! So my options, take my dogs in the cargo area of the plane or put them in a shelter to be adopted or killed... no brainer to me!

some people have hypoallergenic dogs, or dogs that have hair just like everyone else which don't pose a threat for allergy sufferers

No pets should be allowed on planes. The risk of someone losing their life because they are highly allergic is too great just to accommodate someone traveling with their pets.
I have pets but I DON'T TAKE THEM IN A CABIN, I would not infringe and risk the life of a stranger and any azzhole that would deserves to die also.

im not adopting a dog or cat yet because i want to travel... putting pets in a cargo in the airplane is a BIG no no
its dangerous for your dog
