  • the valentine does not leak signals, the only way you can get the valentine to false is put a cheap "very cheap" radar detector on right on top of it, Ive tested the valentine on several occasions with other radar detectors without any interference

  • well good for you, that is not the purpose of this test.

Yes the valentine one does leak signals by the way.

  • really? Then why does the Spectre detect the Valentine One if there is no leaked signal? And what is your point? Your comment has no relevance to this video or the test being conducted. It is not part of the methadology we use to test radars, if that is how you want to do it then fine, please go and do more of your own tests.

  • why not run side by side a pro78 against a valentine

  • you can not run 2 detectors next to each other as they cause interferance that can reduce the range. each detector here was tested within a couple of minutes of each other.

  • our results have shown running two detectors at the same time DID NOT interfere with the ability of the radar detector to detect k or ka band NOR did it cause interference, we ran several test running one detector or both at the same time with the same results, you asked why does the spectre detect radar detectors? maybe it was developed to detect radar detectors, i dont know. i just know the results of my test proved without a doubt running two at the same time did not change the results

  • these test were done on a curved road the radar gun is not pointed directly at incoming traffic, is this test done on the same day? because humidity and several other factors can effect the rd to detect radar, was this your radar gun? how do we know you didnt increase the power output of the radar gun? there is several ways jerry rig a test...

  • actually, that is not correct. Whistler PRo78 and XTR690 were not even detected by new Spectre IV, and only detected at very low range. Also, as our comparison clearly says "best radar detector for Western Australia" where Spectre is not used. Its ok to point out information, but its not relevant for the situation we have explained as the basis for our tests and comparison.

  • I understand what you are trying to sell, but let me remmind you that V1 is after STI Driver, the most unleaked equipment so you have to also consider that part.

I can you that all europe will adopt RDD SpectreIV that must count too in your tests and results and comparisons. Spain has RDD and more to follow

  • yes, there may be sellers on ebay and sellers in Europe, but Valentine Research has no export policy so clearly there is no warranty on this equipment. We have compared with other portables, we have a comprehensive comparison on our web page. We do not believe the V1 offers good value and is particularlly difficult for the average person to use.
