7 Wonders of India: Lakshmi Velas Palace

Located in Vadodara, Gujarat, the Lakshmi Velas Palace compound is spread across 700 acres and houses a number of buildings, particularly the Moti Baug Palace and museum. It was constructed between 1878 and 1890 by Maharaja Sayaji Rao III. The palace showcases a commendable collection of old armoury, sculptures in bronze, terracotta and marble. It was constructed for the educational purposes of the Maharaja's children. Today, this museum houses a large number of art works belonging to the former princely family.
