This film was Billie Holiday's first and last feature film. She played a maid named Endie. When she was on her deathbed in June-July 1959, supposedly people said she was getting better, she was going too star in another film (title unknown). But it was to late. On July 17, 1959, Billie Holiday died at the age of 44 in New York.

she's 32 on this footage, I believe 1 of only 3 films featuring her, so beautiful, so perfect, so full of talent and life: she left only 12 years after reaching her peak. Today we have these mediocre divas trolling around with paparazzi filming every moment of their pathetic existence ... Life isn't fair!
