Question: how can I stop puppy from laying on the ground when he knows its time to go home or when he see's a patch of tall grass. Basically he just lays on the floor like a little kid throwing a tantrum and its very hard to get him to move since he is a large breed. Plus I want to know how to make him know that this is a bad behavior and to not do it.

brill video! I have a question - i havent actually got a dog yet, but am just preparing for when i do (which will be soon). When clicker training and then rewarding, does the dog later on always expect a treat after every
command he does? and will he get confused later on if I don't click when he does something right, even if he's been taught it from the start? please do a video response or comment back, thank you :D

Okay, i just started training my dog. I have a question..
So, she only knows the tricks sit, lie down (takes a while though), over (on her side) and roll over. The problem is she only does it for treats and can only do it in that order..
How can i use no treats in any training session or out of training and get her to do the tricks in any order?
Also, ive been trying to teach her paw.
She isnt getting it. I think that she thinks she gets a treat for me picking up her hand.. Ive been through a

thanks for you videos. I got the same question how to replace a clicker. I see the advantages of it (consistance signal and easy to do it very exactly in time) but to be honest I think I am getting annoyed by the clicking all day long. Is a dog wristle good too? I could be used quite with the time precision like the clicker but I would not hear it? Or any other alternatives. Or I have to find a "special" word. do you click all the time all day long? does the dog lose the connection if you dont?

is it to late to train a dog?

@o0BLOODYKING0o It's never too late to train with positive reinforcement. That's the beauty of clicker training... any dog can learn at any age.

Do you have any advice for positive training on a dog who is fearful defensive/aggressive and barks/growls at guests? I feel like if I build up an assosiation that is posititive with treats, it will reward the behavior.

@Makoce When it comes to aggression, there are a LOT of variables to consider before devising a plan to help resolve the issue. If you feel like the dog is actually aggressive & posing a threat to anyone, I would strongly recommend seeking out a professional dog trainer that uses clicker training and positive reinforcement only to assess the situation further.

Hey Tab awesome advice, i think these video's are just as good as your other training videos, i like the idea of using his dry-food as a low rank treat, currently trying to teach him how to ring a bell near the door, and once he knows how il'll try teach him that when he rings it i will open the door, for him to go outside (to pee etc), hope it works wish i could video it for ya
