NBC pretty much quit showing cartoons a long time ago, all they show now is discovery animals and a bunch of educational stuff.

Hmm... 1984... I would have been about 3 years old. No wonder I only vaguely remember this show.

@manhizzy In NYC it ran on Channel 11 WPIX in the early eighties...maybe even late seventies

@quazzie11 : Actually, the Shmoo predates Casper and Scooby Doo... he first appeared in the comic strip "Li'l Abner" in the 40s. The Shmoos were a race of animals who only wanted to please humans... if a human wanted to kill & eat a Shmoo, he would die of happiness on the spot!! They were immensely popular, spawning an avalance of merchandise. FF to the 70s where he was "updated" for Saturday morning tv with a Scooby Doo-like cartoon show, which was horrible...

was aired on NBC? I thought is on ABC
back in the mid 70's. But here in the Philippines.
They aired Land of the lost here in the Philippines
on KBS 9 or RPN 9 back in the 80's now Solar tv. Then they aired
the new Land of the Lost was aired back in the mid
90's the same station as well

"Land of the Lost" was originally on NBC in 1974; CBS reran it in 1984. The CBS run was reruns of the original 70s show. A new version of "Land of the Lost" starring Timothy Bottoms, with completely different human characters and a different theme song, came out in the early 90s on ABC.
I used to argue with my cousin when the new version came out. I never saw it at the time, so when he would sing the theme song to LOTL I would say "No, that's not the theme song", and sing the original.
