Here's a short video of O'Malley, the cat we rescued from the side of the road after he was hit by a car, doing aquatic therapy. He's partially submerged in warm water and walking on a treadmill to help strengthen his muscles and improve his gait after undergoing femoral head ostectomy (FHO) surgery. He also gets cold laser treatments, uses a balance board & ball, walks over courses and gets stretched. To learn more about O'Malley's story, please visit http://iloverescueanimals.org

  • Thank you so much for posting this. my 20 lb one and a half yr old maine Coon has both hips broke and needs the surgery. All i've been doing is crying since we found out last week. How is O'Malley doing now?

  • @bellagabriella1 Hi, I'm sorry to hear that your cat needs the surgery but he should be just fine! O'Malley is doing great! He runs a bit funny but he can do everything just fine. He can even jump onto our tall bed. To learn more about his whole story, you can watch our updated video called The Saga of O'Malley.

  • was this his first time

  • @jacklynkoda Yes, this was his first time. He ended up doing it 3 times. Can't say he liked it any more but he cried a little less each time.

  • poor kitty haha, but its for his own good :D

  • @andihaveaquestion Yeah, it really helped him out with his gait and muscle strengthening.
