It was like that for my old Casio Exilim too, only zooming is digital too :(

only way to zoom is walking to the objects.

So no zoom and low quality mono audio. Disappointing.

Thanks for the answere. If this is true, I'm not going to buy the camera. Too bad, because besides from that it looks like a real great camera. The Canon IXUS 950 IS had the same problem. Only digital zooming during filming.

So I see some person saying it can't zoom during video, and another saying it does, so what's the true?? Can it zoom and continue focusing or not?? that's very important for me, as I have the Panny TZ5 and does, but this canon looks very nice and could change it if it really zooms, thanks.

sorry man, i tried the camera again now. unfortunately you can't zoom during filming. :(
