I really like the telelever front suspension though. It's so precise through corners, doesn't dive under brakes. I prefer the way the telelever feels/works to the superbike Ohlins I have on my ducati, which after months of adjustment still don't inspire the confidence of the telelever...and a telelever WITH Ohlins must be sensational. You're pretty right about the boxer engine. Still, I reckon a DOHC is a great achievement and they will squeeze a few more ponies out yet.

one needs to understand - BMW Motorrad needs to give the boxer engine a final, glorious sendoff. 30 years ago BMW realized the limitations of the engine and when they introduced the K-series, BMW riders mutinied. So out of sheer will, they've kept developing that ancient engine to its utter, complete maximum. BMW Motorrad fans won't accept the new S1000RR inline-4s, not unless the boxer has been developed as far as it can go. The HP2 Sport represents the end of a great era and an awesome engine.

It can't keep up with the 4 cylinders at the straight... Sad.. :-(

Why BMW bike can't get the champioship?
Although the bmw bike is beautiful, and the sound of the boxer's engiene is great, It seems that he can't pass over anyone and can win nothing.

nice Cool boxer
wie sind da !
Look at a 911. The concept is not logical but the result of composating the wrong design made a great car. That's what a boxer is. Everybody knows the concept of the engine is not the best (especially on a bike). But bikes are emotion. And the boxer just feels great.
