@AnimeFreakCal Spotters cannot spot a Battleship sized target at 40,000 yards at night. Radar can however. At nighttime, the Iowa's radar could easily achieve a firing solution and accurately hit Destroyers at 35,000 yards. Its FC could even allow the ship to blindfire while performing highspeed manuevers. The Destroyers would be sunk by a completely unseen enemy. Some might eventually catch on, but by that time, they would likely retreat.

@MadMilitiaMen I never said anything about that aspect. While true the Iowa would have detected them LONG before they could fire anything. Japanese would have attacked at night where they had spotters that could match(or seem to) American radar With 20 of them charging the Iowa probably STILL would have sank because they are fast ships and the Iowa can only fire so fast/accurately. There is a whole LOAD of tactics that will be put out in a good convo.. but this is Youtube so its not gonna happen

Theres no way any destroyer capt is going to go broadside on with a battle ship in a gun duel - they would have gone head on from all sides to offer the least profile and max draw of fire and torpedoed the mother - Japanese topedoes were in a class of there own - as stramingmadly has pointed out the long lance was devistating regardless of belt armour - but it was fun to watch

Keine Lust ftw!!!!!!!! Sweet vid!

battle stations pacific me and some other kid took on 4 other people they had fleets i had a pt boat 2 subs and a reacon plane my friend had 4 subs and a reacon plane and we kicked there asses they called us hackers afterwards but really they were just stupid whoed send out 10 patrol boats all across the map except in the shallow areas he though hideing in the shallows were stupid too

@aislandiego Its funny you should mention that. Look up Yamato against US destroyers and you should discover Leyte Gulf. Where Yamato and other ships engaged "Taffy 3" made up of 3 Destroyers and 4 Destroyer escorts. Want to know the result? Yamato bravely tucked its tail and fled. That's some power right there lol. You wouldnt even need the Iowa to take on Yamato.
-
basura norteamericana.. creen q porke ganan una vez algo ya ganan siempre en todo.. pendejos!
-
Just in your dreams, make sure to learn about measures of Yamato and its fire power and compare to any USS Destroyer released prior to 1944!.
-
@AnimeFreakCal In real life the Iowa would have detected the destroyers long before they spotted her. The Iowa would have then proceeded to hammer the hell out of the Fubukis with long range gunfire. Alas, games have only progressed so far.
-
@aislandiego The video would end with the Yamato sinking to the bottom of the ocean. Want to make it really cool, lets make it 1 Iowa vs 1 Yamato. Though, in that engagement the Yamato would still sink pretty easily.
-
Very good video!
I'd like to see 1 yamato vs 20 Iowa's! ;)
-
My ultimate question to this.... why the HELL would the Fubuki class DD charge an Iowa class BB and use it's guns? Torpedoes would have been launched well before the guns would have been used. With 20 of them idc how strong your bulge is the IJN torpedoes were superior in damage output and range. With that many coming at you the Iowa would have sank due to it's size - it can't avoid them all.
-
@babog2007 this is called a S I M U L A T I O N, simulation.
-
I like how the primary armament of the destroyers is the tertiary guns of the Iowa.
-
Watching this is like watching the Iowa VS Super Star Destroyer
-
God Mode + Aimbot = FTW!
-
@babog2007 Its a game. The title is not decieving.
-
Monumentally stupid. Iowa would site well beyond "Long Lance" range, and with superior radar fire control, take out the DDs.
-
and im santaclaus. haha. mofo amaricans
Lucky for the Iowa that the Japs forgot they had torpedoes.
