Metroid Prime: Part 5 (Vs. Hive Mecha)

Welcome to part 5 of my Metroid Prime Walkthrough. I'll be starting the majority of my videos from each save point.

--Damn I hate those scarabs lol. A long time ago I ran right into a swarm to see how much damage they do and it killed me at full health xD

It's time to get our first weapon upgrade back, the missile launcher! First, we need to destroy Hive Mecha and a hoard of Ram War Wasps.

They twirl and twirl around you hoping to make you dizzy and then ram you into the poisonous water.
Once a group of them is destroyed, the Hive Mecha opens a wasp port which is weak against beam attacks.

Repeating this process several times will destroy Hive Mecha and we'll get the Missile Launcher!

when you fought these, did you look at the map screen to know where they would stop to you could shoot them?
