The 1969 San Francisco International Film Festival opens on the steps of City Hall, but is unexpectedly attacked by independent filmmakers with pies. This footage was long-lost and then found and made into a movie in the late 1990s.

Man! How uptight and crabby are the people in this vid who didn't like the pie fight. I hope that a pie fight like this at a film awards show would be warmly accepted today. I love the clowns with the brooms who don't actually clean anything. This video is lots of fun!
