well it's just my opinion of course - I never did think Aretha was all that great ( I was a teenager in the 60's) - Much preferred The Supremes - Billie and Ella are before my time - not very familiar with their music but certainly very soulful - but that amazing sound coming from a little Jewish girl (Amy) is beyond incredible.
