Friends without the laughter still works infinitely better than the Big Bang Theory; I didn't laugh, but it still sort of worked..

The writing, comedic timing, and overall performances were designed with a laugh track in mind. Editing out the laugh track after the fact proves absolutely nothing.

not to mention that the creators and commenters of these no laugh track videos are predominantly comprised of critics who find the show to be inherently unfunny. in summary, all of this is a stunt at propagandizing an opinion into a reality

Friends was never funny. Ever. It's for teenagers, who don't know what to think. If someone else laughs you are more likely to laugh.

This show was about as funny as a Dane Cook bit. The no laugh track version is actually kind of funny because it just highlights the pauses and makes the punchlines seem really bizarre.

Without the laugh track, you start to realize how bizarre and creepy these characters' behavior actually is. The jokes are still funny, though, because there are actual jokes. I'm just so used to hearing the laugh track that when it's gone it feels like it's supposed to be a serious scene.
