@WushuMapler If what you claim is true, then there is no reason for SmYth to have 'translated" BoM in English from The Elizabethan Era. That point alone seriously discredits SmYth's so-called "translation".

Are you suggesting then that Jesus does not have a body? Why then was he resurrected? Do you think it was just for show? He rose up to heaven from the mount with his body! Are you suggesting that he shed his body as soon as he got behind a cloud? If so, why on earth was he resurrected in the first place? I would suggest to you that the Bible teaches us that Jesus has a body. He told Mary not to touch him because he had not presented himself to his father. By implication, God has a body.

Bear in mind that the Bible and Book of Mormon were compiled at different times. I do not believe that God makes mistakes as he is perfect. The Bible was needed for a different time and so was the Book of Mormon. This is my own opinion.

@whinda4702 Oh please, you accuse me of living in denial? The whole concept of religion is built on wishful thinking. Who WOULDN'T want to believe there is a kind loving God who cares about them? But there is a difference between what is true and what you want to be true. Logic/evidence is the only way to discover that. Religious people have gone on countless expeditions to discover evidence of an arc, flood, or exodus, and all they ended up doing is proving the opposite.
