The San Francisco earthquake of 1906 was a major earthquake that struck San Francisco and the coast of northern California at 5:12 A.M. on Wednesday, April 18, 1906. The most widely accepted estimate for the magnitude of the earthquake is a moment magnitude (Mw) of 7.8.

you know whenever disaster strikes people help others and look after others. But why do people ignore those in everyday who can use help, like finding jobs, homes, food? People only seem to care when major bad things happen but not everyday. Sad world we live in.

@ontcan1 Well said! You hit the nail on the head!! By the way, I lived in Japan for 15 years. I had national health care there and you know what? It worked! Took care of all my aches and pains, including knee surgery, and I never had to wait on line. Best of all, I wasn't bankrupted in the process. So many lies are spread here (in USA) about "SOCIALIZED" medicine, most of them generated by the far right and clowns like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity. They don't have a clue.
