"Sheriff Thompson" was released in Canada around 1974. Written by, now Film Director William Malone (House on Haunted Hill, FearDotCom), who was formally in the 60s Michigan Garage Band "The Plagues", this song was recorded in Malone's Living Room/Studio in the mid 70s. The late Derek Markle who sings on this recording later produced a number of albums out of his Lanark Ontario Studio. Malone at the time ran a Folk Club in Hollwood called Artie Fatbuckles. Recorded on a 4 track Ampex 440 -Posted by permission of the copyright holders

  • Great listening to this! While I own his self titled album, I don't have phonograph and sadly I have not listened to it in years due to that fact.... the only mp3 I have is Farewell I am Told which came up on my Ipod shuffle today! Wish his material was made available for digital download.... I know I would buy it! Thanks for posting this!
