Not sure why he is pale. 90% of the time he always stays that way and never brightens his colours. Some people say that when they make themselves pale, it often means they are calm. Yet others say they go pale when they are nervous. I don't think the latter is the case though. He was bright and colourful when I put him in with the female I recently had (she died from stress when I added the male as he bullied her a lot) and since she died he has started becoming lazy and calm.

I've always kept a lot of hiding places for him, and this new tank has a lot of places for him to hide in. He's been in this tank for about 3 days now (as of this typing on May 1st 2011) and he still has yet to show any colour. My guess is he is just a lazy fish. He has always picked at his food and has always been fussy with what I give him, and he often swims around the tank slowly. Almost as if he is stalking the ornaments at times as he stares at them and circles them. I may get a small mirror to confuse him in order for him to start getting his colours on (a well known trick) and we'll see what happens from there.

P.S the white one I had also died from a completely unknown factor. She was just dead the morning I woke up. Water was fine, and she was fine the night before. But these things happen.

*UPDATE* It seems as if he is starting to get his colours back. Recently he has gotten darker and his orange stripes have started to appear. I guess its a sign that he is entering adult stage and is becoming mature enough to stay colourful.

*UPDATE 2* Unfortunateley, he died two days ago from an unknown cause. No signs of illness right before death, or even after. Water was great, everything was as it should be. This is my 5th Paradise Fish that has died (most of the ones from my recent Paradise Fish video before this one died his way before.) So my tank is now quarantined until I find out exactly the cause. He was as stiff as a plank of wood when I found him dead. If anybody knows exactly the problem, it would be much appreciated. Note - Its NOT the tank size. This tank size is 10 litres. I have a 15 litre tank in another room that has housed two Paradise fish since last November. So please, don't flood the comments with how every Paradise Fish needs atleast 2 Gazillion gallons in order to thrive.

Thank yo for the comment. This tank, I'm not sure of the name, but I got it from a site called AllPongSolutions. They're on eBay, too. The title of this tank was something like "10 litre acrylic nano cube aquarium", so I guess the Nano Cube? I no longer habe the fish you see in this video though. He suddenly died. No evidence as to why, no illnesses before death, nothing. Zilch. Yeah Paradise Fish tend to be terretorial. Good to know your female is in charge now, lol. Albino's are nice.

  • @SiloNova25 Oh yeahh pond soluntions, is a great seller. erm it looked bigger than 10 litressss! will you get another fish in it's place?

  • @catboyy

I'm not sure yet. I don't know what the hell caused my fish to die. I have another videofrom last December showing off a comletely different tank with other Paradise Fish (now deceased too) and they all died from some unknown cause, but I just thought it was the fish and moved onto another fish. So for now I'm quarantining my tank until I found out what it is I'm doing wrong. Then again, it can't be me because I maintain another tank with Paradise Fish and they've been okay since Dec.

    Same here :/

  • @SiloNova25 Even if she was a meany fishy I will miss her :(

  • @Sabsgirl

Yeah, she did :( She got stressed by the male (this one) after I put him in the tank because he bugged her a lot. To be fair, she was trying to murder him once he was put in, so once he got used to his new place he put her in her place, LOL. She was a bit of a bully with the others anyways. Any other fish I had she killed. Until I got a male, lol.
