@AzaIndustries i built one a few years ago, and plan to build another when ivy bridge releases. x2 555 black edition with a gts 450. its a little workhorse.

@DrRejectz Also so far it has worked out cheaper for me to use this method and my PCs are up to scratch to most of these "gaming" PCs that cost twice even three times the price of what I spend.
Sure mine may not last as long but its only counted in months which doesn't justify and extra few thousand I see people spending.
I enjoy building computers and over-clocking/tweaking them to peak performance so my whole method might not work for the average builder.
It's been fun talking to you! =P

@Dioroxic yeah but that's how it is for people who can't build their own PC I even have a friend who knows he's only paying for the brand but he can't be bothered learning how to build his own PC.

@DrRejectz Yeah that's what I'm waiting for, want to see what the new AMD ones are like.
Also if you graph out price compared to performance on all parts out atm there is a sweet spot just before it rises crazily with little performance increase and your only getting 5% performance for twice the price.
A good example is the gtx560 and 570 its really not worth doubling the price to get 10% more performance especially when the 560 after-market cards outperform the base 570 easily.

Ahh, sorry I didn't actually see the first message, i5 2500k>4.5 Ghz? That sounds real beastly. Personally I would wait until AMD releases there new chips before making any final choice of your CPU. And yeah different users have different needs. But most gamers want a good pc to last them a few years even as new hardware releases. You should also consider a solid state drive.

@DrRejectz I replied with 2 messages =/ 1 I typed the CPU wrong.

Hmm?

@DrRejectz sorry thats the i5 2500K cpu
Doom 4 is going to use this

@DrRejectz Hey thanks a lot man its great when someone agrees with you on the internet! =P
I've actually started the research phase of building my next PC only about an hour ago, what a coincidence.
