Hey- I talked with you a year ago or so about buying one. I got one last August and I love it. All the neighbors are jealous. Now I am thinking of doing the electric version. I know you have had both...which do you prefer? Is the gas more powerful? Pros' and con's?
thanks
Kevin

Cool... no noisy engine, no fume

Ok it's bothering me. But you don't have to hold up the handle to split. Lift it up then release the handle use both hand to grab next piece. I have a super split just in case your wondering what do I know. It works alot better for readying the next piece. Good vid.

Kevin Congratulations on your new Super SplitI hope you love it as much as I do. The electric motor works great just not as powerful as the gas and a little slower than the stock motor.MOJOR drawback is you need a dedicated 30 amp circuit, with a heavy duty number 10 gauge extension cord. I split 15 chords this year, with all types of nasty hardwoods. it certainly was a pleasure to work with.
