As they used to say in my younger days... "Now you're cooking with gas!"
Vintage Woo to Woolsey to Hulsey... SWEET!

These lessons are essential if you want to have a true understanding of the power of san soo to become a complete fighter.

@LeperKing From my understanding, Jimmy wasn't being malice, Frank Woolsey stopped teaching the Dap Ga portion of San Soo, and replaced it with Numpi lessons 151-220 calling them green Belt Lessons. You can learn a lot from the American San soo Forums.

If that's the case, imagine if Jimmy were alive today and decided to visit every San Soo studio in California . Many of these so called 'black belts' would be very unhappy.
-
The Numpi were strictly Southern techniques that Mr. Woo originally taught he later moved on to the other elements of Tsoi Li Ho. The most ancient element is Southern/Quan Yin.
-
That's pretty bad if he stripped them of their Black Belts and gave them Brown. I guess Jimmy had the personality and credebility to be able to do something like that. It had to be embarrassing for those guys

I hear you about people trying to make it seem more mystical then it is. Heard Jimmy said all Numpi mean't was "southern" when he was asked.. we just always called lessons where you walk up & hit the guy first.. "walk ups".
Stuff like this is probibly why Jimmy busted a lot Frank's guys back down to brown belts when they went to El Monte.

Are Numpi and Ahsoo stuff that Jimmy actually taught. Did he call them "Numpi" and "Ahsoo" or was this an attempt by some San Soo gnostics to make what Jimmy taught seem more Mystical?

very good
Jimmy did indeed teach Numpi and Ah-Soo. Numpi or Nampi is the original name. The name Ah-Soo was coined by Jimmy and Frank when the two became partners in second school.
