A closer look at Legotown's resident IT specialist/electronics guru. TechMan is the expert in pretty much everything that plugs in and townspeople go to his shop to get the latest high tech gear (which is all ordered in from off-island).

  • who noticed that mr techman has harry potters face?

  • @MooMooCowc4 Is that where it is from? We just ordered it because it looked interesting... or maybe it came from a garage sale... I forget.

  • I would like to know this: How did you make his Van? Is their any Instructions Online?

  • @CstudiosTV The TechMan van is based on a delivery van from the 1980s (go to the Peeron website and search for set 6624-- that van is also in our Post Office Tour video). We changed the front end around a bit (flatter windshield) and flipped the tailgate into a ramp. They are different enough that parked together you don't realize they are the same basic design.

  • Very cool vintage builds. may i ask what paper you use to print the decals? i would like to use them for my emergency vehicles

  • @MyBILLYBOBjoe123 The paper should be readily available at any office supply store. Basically we print color inkjet onto a clear adhesive paper stock. Once printed, packing tape (or matte finish tape-- cheap stuff) is stuck on the printed side to keep the ink from running if it ever gets wet or smudging when touched. Then we cut the stickers out of the sheet and are good to go!
