Dr.S.P.Kinjawadekar ,Chairman of Joint Action Committee (JAC) Maharashtra and immediate past president of AISCCON sharing his view regarding need for Senior Citizens National Solidarity Day: 16th August 2011.
Senior Citizens inspite of their number, collective wisdom & experience, will continue to be ignored and marginalized unless they unite. -- Kofi Annan
Today India has around 100 million Senior Citizens (60+) who are neglected and ignored by Central and State government. Senior Citizens are angry and agitated with continuous apathy by government towards them. After 63 years of Indian Independence & democracy experiment there are segments of people who are not treated at par with others, there is injustice and discrimination towards them. One of the most neglected and ignored segment is of our Elders. Senior Citizens want Freedom from Abuse, Neglect, Discrimination,Poverty, Insecurity, & Injustice . Its nice to hear the Senior Citizens views on UTube. I like Dr Kinjawadekar's firm, confident and clear voice. Its good to appreciate the Central Govt for their 2010 soft budget for 60+ people. And now let us expect from MH State too. I like his last statement that he do not get angry at this age - I think every 60+ should learn form this thought. I bookmarked ! thanks

Dr Kinjawadekar has articulated the present plight of senior citizens and the neglect of the state and central governments very well. I like his answer to the last question very much!! The facts mentioned by him - impact of last year protest, activities planned this year on 16t h August should be made known to all. I request every friend who has twitter to send tweet on this video link and make this a viral shoot of the day. Yes it is possible.
