It's a vestapol triple bypass inverted tuning in the drop hawaiian slack reverse mandolin with 2 strings missing clawhammer style no strings attached and no vocals with bousuki ... it's a BOUSUKEEE !!! BEEN TO CALIFORNIA sort of thing.

are you dumb? it couldn't be drop d or else he would have a high E but he has a high D and a barred D chord. i'm pretty sure it's open D tuning.
