Ray Davies is a legend and a genius songwriter. And he's still got it up there on the stage. I miss him and Dave playing together. Dave is an awesome guitar player and their voices, though very different, complement each other.

The man wrote what was perhaps the three most influential garage rock anthems in history. "You Really Got Me," "All Day and All of the Night," and "Tired of Waiting For You," -- all, while the Rolling Stones were covering Beatle songs like "I Wanna Be Your Man." The Stones are great, and always will be, but The Kinks are right up there shoulder to shoulder in enduring influence.
