I had a NV7 before my N95-1 (sold the NV7 because I didn't need it anymore...) I can put it plainly... the NV7 is crap.

Hmm... to be fair to the NV7, it's not that bad, it does suffer from noise in low light though. It's a very quick camera with a good lens.

That's true, it is quick, it looks awesome (part of the reason I bought it), the controls are cool and the zoom is awesome. Very good flash for such a small camera. But the noise! (Especially in low light). If you really want to get an idea of how bad it is set the camera to a high ISO mode and put the lens cap on, then look at the display. Also (nothing to do with photos) the very bad sound quality in video recordings put me off. Furthermore I'm not content with the pixel quality.
