  • You have a nice Victory garden. Everything looks full great. I'm working on mine now. Take care!

  • that's awesome!! definitely make a video about your victory garden too. can't wait to see it.

i bet your daughter will love helping you plant (what's not to love about making mudpies?)! :)

hopefully by the time you finish up your master cleanse, you'll have some nice leafy greens all ready for you.

  • I guess I'll take my smoothies and throw something green in......what's best to try first.... since i don't have a victory garden?

  • great question!

choose any leafy green (except iceberg lettuce, which is rather low in nutrients). kale, bok choi, spinach, swiss chard, carrot or beet greens (very economical, since you get two for one with your purchase), romaine, dandelion greens.......whatever catches your eye and looks fresh and is ORGANIC. don't even bother making a smoothie with pesticide-laden, chemically fertilized plants. kinda defeats the whole purpose.

  • each type of green contains different nutrients, so it's good to vary them and not always make the same type of smoothie each day.

you can also try adding different types of green 'herbs', such as parsley, dill, cilantro, basil, etc.

you can even use celery (make sure to include the leaves). celery has a lot of natural sodium that can help balance your electrolytes, and makes an excellent post-workout smoothie.

  • the more you experiment, the more you'll start to create favorite combinations that you'll really look forward to.

and i highly recommend that you try to start growing some of your own ingredients, even if it's only a few things in a container garden. no smoothie will ever be as fresh or taste as delicious as one containing ingredients that you nurtured and cultivated yourself. not to mention you'll get more attuned to mother nature and really appreciate where your food comes from. :)
