Once a cattle ranch, The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy has, among other accomplishments, become a highly successful Black Rhino sanctuary. Lewa's comprehensive conservation efforts extend well beyond its borders and benefit several communities in Northern Kenya through employment, education and more. Today Lewa is well known as a model of enlightened conservation and oustanding wildlife viewing opportunities. Visiters are well provided for at Lewa's excellent lodgings and accommodations such as "Wilderness Trails" and the "Lewa Safari Camp"
Indeed, a very worthy, well done little video on why projects like these are important: they sustain both the people and creatures living there. And, as the video said, without the Native people, or without their support and nurturing of the environment, there won't be place as beatufiul as this in Lewa.
All these last open spaces and vistas and the majestic animals living there should be treasures for all of humanity & we all need to support efforts needed to sustain them...
