Why are most of the greatest films, books, music, etc. created in time of chaos and turmoil? The late 30s and early 40s produced some of the greatest literature, films and music of all time with the world on the brink of War and destruction while the late 60s and early 70s produced such great films as The Graduate, 2001, Rosemary's Baby, The Godfather, and on and on....

I saw the Graduate just after I graduated from college in 1972. It scared the crap out of me in that I had my whole future ahead of me , and I had no idea what to do next.
If I knew then what I know now, I would have been 10 times more scared. Thank goodness I am old now.
