I had the nitrous today. I know how you feel about opening your eyes while on it because its so much more better when your eyes are closed. My dentist doesn't make me open my eyes he justs asks every once in a while if I'm still there. I annoyed him one time though because I kept falling asleep while he was trying to work on me lol.

the novacaine takes care of the pain........i guess the gas is for anxiety.....
