Hmm. Another advantage of the crossbow is that, once armed, you can hold it loaded for the time your necessity demands, unlike the bow that to maintaing it "loaded" you have to hold it and in a not long period it will start to stress your arms muscles.

@JeronimoGregolini That is true, but you cant keep a crossbow loaded forever, because it will eventually make the strength of the crossbow very weak.

must remember, it takes an experienced archer, to fight in a battle, and it takes ca. 7 years to be good at aiming. While a crossbow. Well, its easier to hit whit.

infection, infection that does not make a different put dirt in the quiver and it will be the same thing i think crossbows are better because of one fact IT IS NOT A SUICIDE MISSION. Longbow men had barely any protection while crossbow men had so when injured they could hide behind there and they werent in an open field.

The point of sticking your arrown in the ground, is so you can place them directly in position right from the gound. Not grab it then place it like people think.
