Private Nurse - Video Review

This is my personal video review for the bishoujo game, Private Nurse. It was the first video review I did that I felt was truly of passable quality. Enjoy!

I failed to mention that there is a PS2 version of Private Nurse available exclusively in Japan without the ero-content, more CGs, character theme songs, and an expanded story for Maria. Apologies for any confusion this may have caused.

Ayano's ending is the best... I've finished Mio and Ayano's endings, so I don't know about the bad and Maria's endings.

Though, I felt the Ayano's was kinda the best solution for "Hero"-chan. :3

Well, I can after it's been released in English. I can't read Japanese, so I can't really play the Japanese language titles. To say that my backlog of reviews is large is an understatement, though. Hopefully I'll get around to Raidy 1 in the future, and down the line I'll hit Raidy 2 after it has been released.

Your reviews are great, and they really explain just what is good about the game or bad about it. Gameplay is a hard thing to rate for these games though, since most of them are just choosing a choice. Some are like adventure games, or they have a time limit when choosing a choice like Yo jin bo the body guards, but for the most part they are just choice choosing. So I guess you have to rate it on just how much choice choosing there is. And if it is not overly too simple (let's meow meow).

The number, practicality, and importance of your choices are all taken in to account. More than that, however, it's the standard options that determine it for me. Private Nurse lacks a number of the conventional options offered nowadays. Story, characters, art, and sound are all much more heavily weighed into the final score, though. They're far more relative to the genre, after all, and my reviews are all relative to the genre.

Man you have no idea how happy you have made me by reviewing Private Nurse. This was the first type of game i've played in this field. I basically felt like I was Hiroki. I fell in love with Maria and when I got to the end of the game I cried so hard when she left. I was so sad for a long time after playing this game. It still gets to me when I hear the opening song....

I understand that this is four years old but I know a good Visual Novel you could review, Try Shuffle! a VN that was released back in, I think it was 2006, It's in english and I just got it from Amazon. Though i think it's avaible on Mangagamer.

Anyone got this to work on windwos 7 ultimate 64? Game works no music even if it's enabled, and directx wont install.

Maria does not make much sense unless she is understood as a fairy or a similar sort of animated spirit in human form. The thing to remember is the talking tree which Hiroki sees from a dream taking place in the begining of the story. Then, a few times, there were dreams showing a lady helping him out after injuries. Hiroki finally makes the connection right before the end when he realizes that the lady in his dreams was Maria.

Story of the game really touched me (should I admit that I cried) and made me think about many things, it is deeply humane. I read an review which complained that it's all cliche; probably it's largely or completely true, but it really doesn't matter to me, I was touched, shaken and it made me think. I don't know whether what I wrote says more about me or the game but I recommend it from all my heart.

I agree that the control of this game is annoying. I played this game about 6 years ago. I remember that they broadcasted Euro cup in the mid-night (I'm in Asia) but I didn't pay attention to it at all. I was still clicking like crazy to get the missing CGs of Ayano and Maria at that time @_@

Oh I was so passionate at the age of 15
