James Gordon Jr.: Why didn't he win, Dad?
Lt. James Gordon: Because we have to earn him.
James Gordon Jr.: He didn't do anything wrong.
Lt. James Gordon: Because he's the director the Oscars deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll watch him because he can take it. Because he's not Michael Bay. He's a silent underdog, a brilliant film-director. Christopher Nolan.

Very cheesy and corny, admittedly, but great nonetheless. I've learned that sometimes the only way you can express something is through bullshit. Who says we're a rational culture? Rationality only opens a few doors, while irrationality opens them all, at a subconscious level. The Dark Knight did a great job of influencing us in this way.

Batman FTW!! Best ending that this film could possibly have had. In Nolan we trust <3

I'm sorry, but that was REALLY cheesy.
Anybody else notice that the chills you get when watching this scene are matched perfectly to the climax of the background music?

Sometimes Heros are in the shadows waiting, willing, non compromising. Some heros are not the friendliest or popular by any means. Heros are all around us, some do not even know they will become heros and never want to be considered one. There are dark knights everywhere. Peace
