NOIRLISTED #1: "Double Indemnity"
A review of Billy Wilder's definitive film noir "Double Indemnity" (1944). The film stars Fred MacMurray and Barbara Stanwyck in a twisting affair of Murder, Suspense, Love and Betrayal! A must see for any Film Noir enthusiast.
Note: This is my first attempt at a film review. I hope to do many more! It would also be treffic if anyone out there in Youtube land wants to review some classic Film Noirs. Contact me with a message and post your review; I will be sure to include it here at NOIRLISTED. Youtube is all about community people- so let's form a "Noir" community and share the love for this terrific movement in film history!

i can go on in that way but won't.

instead of (rather inaccurately) implying that "double indemnity" was great bc of its ground breaking nature historically,
you should have pointed out specifically and in detail how it is great bc it gathers and executes noir elements superlatively through acting, directing, screen play, score, etc .

anyway you get full marks for attempt and taste . keep going!

your review of this great movie itself is ok (& bit thin)but your movie history is way off.
directors slipped non 'tame' stuff through the production code through various means(esp dialogue),way before this(eg sturges' comedies).
noir films were evident & popular before this and so called 'proto noirs' were there from late 20s at least.
comparing 'going my way' to 'titanic' is a bit silly if you want to be critic given that 2 movies don't have much in common except high box office returns
