This is Angus, our Scottie / Jack Russell Terrier.

He came to us from Co. Cavan as a 10 week old puppy. I suspect the pups were starved of human attention during that time, so it took us a few weeks to get him used to us, or maybe that was just his thrawn Scottie nature showing through.

Anyway, he's now a lovely, quiet natured & very affectionate friends for us & a great pal for our other two terriers.

The music I used for this video, is a couple of Old Time tunes, Cider & Snake River Reel, which I play on my Rick Thum Hammered Dulcimer.

  • N.B. I've just added some info. on the two Old Time tunes I play here, to the Show More section above.

  • Saw this in your post on the Old Time Musicians Europe page. Nice tunes. Nice sounding dulcimer. We have a dog we think is a Jack Russell/Scotty mix. She is much more the physical build of the longer legged kind of Jack Russell. But her coat is glossy black & wirey like a Scotty. She's feisty like a Jack Russell, though eager to please us. So a close eye and quick stern word keep her from biting too many ankles. BTW - What are the tune names?

  • @Lincoln5string Hi, I believe the tunes are Cider & Snake River Reel.

  • Love the musique and the naughty pup! :D

  • Nice Dick - the tunes and the pup!!! Just sold my Thum HD to someone who'll use it more than I - will get to do some jamming with Rick in February at the Dulcimer and Autohop (a deliberate play on words and now that's the official festival name) here in FL and then he's doing a multi-day A-Z workshop on HD - nice fellow

  • My children like this video very much!
