Ouverture Baroque (From suite in A Minor) By G. P. Telemann

(ENGLISH/ANGLAIS)

Here's the piece we played at a competition in Victoriaville, as a Quartet.
Hope you enjoy it !
(I'm the second player, starting to the right. ALTO SAXOPHONE POWEERR ... lol !)

Haha !)

  • eh it was ok. Bari player had no finesse. Alto player didnt project and lead the song at times. the quartet was off on timing a bit. and tuning can so some work. Played this 2 years ago. and when your going into 2nd movement lead alto does not project and lead the song and take control... and again bari player needs to work on his finesse

  • Yeah, I agree on some point.

The Bari player was at his first year of playing this instrument and when we played this piece in this video, it wasn't our best shot...

Thanks for the critic :) !

  • Awesome! I love the blend and gentle tone you all put into this.

  • Thanks ^^ !

  • Bravo,

  • The trills, seeing has this piece is in the style of baroque the music comes with a new set of rules. I'm going to focus on the trills the trills don't go up (ex F to G) they go down (ex F to E). To the Bari sax player, intonation is whats key for you. to anyone who plays Bari intonation is everything when your the bass cause when your off everyone else is off badly! So in quartet everyone else needs to tune to the Bari, but Bari make sure your in tune.

  • respectable. I'm going to festival in a few weeks playing this piece. Fun.

  • biggest problem was tuning, and tempo in the 2nd mvt was slower than marked tempo i believe also yall were off a little in the running 16th notes.

but overall good job, and very good job 1st alto.

my friends and i played this last year also.

  • did yall make it to state

  • Whats finesse?

  • It be me agian!(Nightbird00,DA)You are WAY better than anyone at my school could do.
