These commercials aired on KBHK TV 44 in late November of 1987. Thanks to my cousin David for recording these.

1. Kellogg's Rice Krispies (More acid trip cereal commercials I'm afraid. And Fred Savage telling jokes again)
2. Construx (I love these songs)
3. My Little Pony Perm Shop (I'm pretty sure I was allergic to these toys in preschool. All boys were.)
4. Baby Grows (What toy executive thought of something this insane? "Watch her limbs elongate right in front of your eyes, kids!")
5. The Real Ghostbusters (I think I had every toy in this commercial except the ghost that slimes them at the end)
6. SilverHawks ("No I'm not! FIRE!")
7. Pogo Bal Blaster (Not influenced by Wham! at all. Nope)
8. TV Spot for "Cinderella" (Some of the re-dubbed voices in this spot are absolutely ridiculous)
9. Tyco Zero Gravity Cliffhangers
10. Video Art (A primitive Mario Paint?)
11. Jill (Oh. My. God. I am scarred for life after this commercial. That's Jenny Lewis in the middle BTW)
12. Promo for "Flipper" (I love the KBHK announcer SO much)
13. G.I. Joe Cobra Searay and Wolf (I love how they advertised the Winter/Snow toys around Christmas)

  • Is that Jenny Lewis in the Jill commercial?

  • Maybe. It's a shame that 80scommercialvault doesn't provide detailed descriptions that often provide information like that...

  • Was the TV spot to Cinderella shown during the Garfield Christmas Special or during an episode of Full House?

  • No. These are from a tape with "He-Man and She-Ra: A Christmas Together", an episode of "The Real Ghostbusters" and an episode of "Bionic Six".

  • What the HELL happened to toys, nowadays?! They suck! I see all these new toys that my daughters play with, and I'm thinking.....OUR generation was much better! 80's toys were so much cooler and a lot more fun! I mean, come on! Cherry Merry Muffin dolls! Pogo Balls! Smooshies! Keypers! the original My Little Pony line! THOSE WERE REAL TOYS! Now we've got these damned Hannah Montana dolls, Fur-Real Friends, (or whatever the hell they are) and all this other crap!

  • Yes, it's a shame that the commercial for a doll representing a little girl whose limbs grow before your eyes doesn't fully represent reality.

  • "Baby Grows?" My little bro and I used to call it "Baby Gross". Well, that's what it sounded like on the commercial.

  • I`m so jelous of these kids! I mean they got all the cool toys and the Atari! Im serious who doesnt like the Atari system?!? Other then the haters stuck up in all this crap we call 'toys' now. I`m only 13 but I`m J-E-L-O-U-S-E of every kid who lived through out the 80s. I`d love to have a purple pop out eyeball doll! Who wouldnt... do I need to answer that? But seriously!! i need doc and marty, with some glutonium...

  • hahaha i had the purple ghost with the big eyeball. if you squeezed it, his eyeball (tethered by a string) would pop out.

  • We had a pogo ball and found that we couldn't jump as high as they did on the commmercials, so we combined forces with our trampoline, yes it was as awesome as it sounds.

Seriously though, what a great toy, it's not sedentary, it promotes activity, makes it look cool, we need more toys like this

  • @babygiraffe123 I agree! Except for Pogo Ball.

  • Lol. I had the Cobra Wolf, cool toy!

  • OMG! jill is the real female version of chucky!!!!!!

  • I go to antique stores as a hobby. I see a bunch of these toys that we used to play with ie. star wars, hotwheels, ghostbusters, cabbage patch dolls, etc. some in box, some out selling for alot of mullah... Too bad our mothers threw them out when we stopped playing with them. Who'd a thought?

  • @MattTheSaiyan You're not the only one! LOL

  • My hearing is poor due to wax-filled ears, I heard "it doesn't take long to burn their hair" in the My Little Pony Perm Shop commercial.
