  • belle job ! Nice job! beau travail !

  • @jeeper426 Do it!

  • @indestructableforce yeah, we were thinking about building a rail and put the 391 in it xP

  • @jeeper426 Awe yeah, that'd be cool. But don't scrap the 391 or anything.

  • @indestructableforce you would be surprised at some of the swaps i've seen done, and yes, i already know that the entire frame would need to be strengthened even for a cummins swap, we have a ford F700 tree truck with a 391 big block that i was considering converting to diesel power, and actually i think that the perkins would fit the bill so to speak

  • @jeeper426 The problem is industrial engines have no weight restriction and are built much heavier. Diesels are heavier also, because they need thicker, stronger metal to withstand the pressures they produce (hi compression, boost). Unless you were used heavier axles, stronger springs, stronger shocks, heavier duty steering, etc., it's impossible. Also, it's too big for the stock body. But if you were hell bent on doing it...

  • nice job.

  • with some modifications, could a perkins fit in a jeep cherokee? i think that would be a unique swap, also, sweet looking and sounding diesel my friend, looks like you spent some time restoring it

  • hope you didn't run it long with no cooling :)
