Amtrak 29 next to the rail

Amtrak 29, from the ground. Footage slowed by 1/2, then 1/2 again, as train approaches camera. Normal speed resumed after engine rolls over camera.

The yelling in the background is my poor daughter (3 years old) who thinks I am in danger. The innocence of kids...hope she isn't traumatized.

Why: I don't know. Thought it would be neat to see the underside of an engine.

You can select 1/2 speed several consecutive times in Windows Movie Maker...1/2 becomes 1/4 becomes 1/8, etc.

I doubt the engineer even noticed. Seeing a 4 inch camera in a trackbed while going 65 mph would be pretty hard...unless you knew where to look. The camera I used is 10 years old...and old High8 analog model. I didn't really care if it had been destroyed.
