RSBI BELOW 100 IS GOOD! VIDEO IS WRONG
-
This teacher is so NOT SPECIFIC that I want to throwup.
-
SIMV=stoneage PSV or ASV is the way to go
-
It depends on hospital protocol as well. Where I'm at RSBI of <120 is acceptable and we don't use SIMV. We go straight from A/C to CPAP with pressure support of 8-12 depending upon how the patient tolerates it.

Well, i definatly PASS.
:)

Actually he is correct in the video he is asking what would be a "BAD" RSBI. He says over 105, then says actually anything over 100 would be considered bad. It's correct.

Great Lecture!...~~(correction) I dont think we would want a "RSBI of greater than 105". What you most likely meant to say was a RSBI less than 105, some books might say less than 100..but we get the point. Great Lecture again. :)

I wonder what text are you using to lecture from or are you lecturing from your own notes. We are using fourth edition, Mech. vent by S. Pilbeam. You guys are lucky, you have a really good instructor.
Now I'm confused. I need to go back and watch it to see what I said!
Thanks for the comments.
