They only way you can lead is through love.. To work for an public agency you have to have love or compassion not just a paycheck. The HUD program should not be used against a participant because they are an advocate or independent. This is what happening around the country , residents are intimindated to speak. Most residents lives in bad neighboorhoods and what some staff says, Be glad to get your governement assistance!
Most staff "believe in their paychecks!!!" Not about the people.

HUD is a government program ran by people who do not have the compassion for their own stakeholders. I had witness personally as a former Commissioner how staff harass and use the program to intimindate residents on the program. HUD can be ran by the residents really who cares where they live not the paycheck . When some staff is the worst sterotyping towards their own residents and use bureacracy/rules to be "out of touch" from the reality or having a relationship with the residents is poor .

HUD provides funds to house and support chronically homeless seriously mentally ill consumers. Without HUD, many of these individuals would not have the opportunity to live independently and would continue to utilize expensive and scarce community resources such as emergency rooms and police man-hours. HUD makes this a win/win situation – consumers receive the support and housing necessary to be successful in the community and the community receives a decreased burden on its resources.
