Viktor graduated from Pilot's college in 1981 and participated in his first National Championship the following year. Since then, he has received numerous medals nationally and internationally, for both Aerobatics and Glider Aerobatics.
In addition to being a top aerobatic pilot, he is also qualified as an International Judge and is test pilot for the Sukhoi Design Bureau who manufacture the Sukhoi 26, 29 and 31.

*(was "hors concours" for the title as he was an independent competitor, not part of a national team)

Think Flight school when he says Pilots College but in the old USSR it was government funded if you were going to be on the Russian Team.

They have them in Russia, the Russian government or use to anyways hand pick the pilots that would be on the Russian Aerobatic team. It was all based on reflexes and endurance.
